Fairy Light Fringes look a lot better if they are installed correctly. Follow this guide to get the best result.
ASSEMBLE BEFORE YOU INSTALL
– Start by unpacking the Fringe Section and connecting them together.
– Ensure the rubber gaskets are in place on all waterproof connectors – no gasket means the connection is not waterproof.
– Connect the sections and screw the connectors up firmly. Hand tight is adequate – don’t use pliers or vice grips as these may damage the connectors.
– Fold the lights back on each connector to make a regular format. The dropper spacing is wider around the connectors, so a small fold back (using cable ties) makes the droppers look more uniform.
WORK FROM THE POWER SUPPLY OUTWARDS
– Start from the Power Supply. Identify where you power supply will be and start installing the fringes from that point. This ensure the lights are installed with the correct orientation (they can only go one way around – power into the male connector and out of the female socket). If you install the lights back-to-front, sorry – starting again is the only option.
– There are a number of cable clip options available but we recommend nylon P/R clips fixed to the building using a stainless steel self-tapping screw. Install the clips first, along the area the fringe is to go. 300-400mm spacing is adequate. Use nylon cable ties (3.6mm x 150-200mm recommended) to secure the fairy light fringe to the P/R Clips. Pull the fringe run tight as you go, clip off the cable tie ends.
